大家好，
欢迎加入凯瑞中文学校！希望你们都度过了一个愉快的暑假！学校开学第一天是9月8日星期六，下面是开学第一天的重要信息：
注册缴费：

• 有关注册详情请参考学校网站：http://carycs.org/register
• 网上系统已经关闭注册功能，家长可以继续登录查看注册信息。还没有缴费的家长，可以打印注册信息连同支票邮寄给学校邮箱，或开学第一天到大厅缴费。
• 开学第一周和第二周，可以在学校大厅现场继续注册和缴费。学校只收支票。
• 如需要加课、换课或退课，家长可以发email到[email protected]，或到学校大厅咨询。
• 退课退款规定，请参考网站上的School Policy（http://carycs.org/school-policy） 。
• 开学第4-6周，财务会根据学校规定安排退款，并通知家长到大厅领取。没有领取的支票将统一邮寄到注册学生的家中。如果搬家，请及时更新网上注册系统里的家庭地址。
• 学校各班老师会在开学前将相关信息发给家长，请注意查看邮件。

教室分配：

• 开学前请到学校网上注册系统里查看学生的班级分配。根据注册情况，教室分配在开学前几天里还会有小部分调整，请务必在开学前一天再次上网查看确认。

开学第一天：

• 开学第一天是9月8日星期六。上午9点准时开始中文课。
• 请家长们提前10-15分钟带学生到学校，去各自教室报道。
• 需要教材的家长请带好支票（不收现金）到大厅购买教材。
• 部分活动课也需要购买材料，老师会提前发邮件或当场通知家长。

交通安全！新的交通路线：

• 每周六9点中文课学生必须到达教室里，准时上课。
• 鉴于以往经验，8:50-9:00为学校交通最拥堵的时段，请大家提前10-15分钟送孩子到学校。
• 停车场和路边都会有指示牌，请注意并慢行！
• 交通对义工会从8:30开始指挥交通，车辆和行人必须服从义工指挥，注意安全！
• 请注意今年的交通路线和往年不同，有关交通路线和规定请参考学校网站: http://carycs.org/direction

大楼安全：

• 出于对校舍和人身安全考虑，今年与学校无关的人员不得随意进入大楼。留在大楼内的家长必须到大厅登记。请勿随意放入未经登记的人员。
• 学校工作人员和执勤义工会在楼道查询，请大家配合我们的工作。谢谢！

家长执勤！新的家长执勤制度:

• 本年度家长执勤仍然以班级为单位， 每班学生家长只需要参与执勤一次。
• 执勤任务包括早交通和楼道巡逻两部分，时间为8:30 – 10:10。
• PTA在学年结束时（06/2019）将会对仍然没有参与执勤的家长收取$50的服务费，用来补充交通安全的经费。

水果和盒饭：

• 后勤部照样为大家提供水果和盒饭，请加入CCS后勤团微信群，每周提前预定，周六上午11:30在学校停车场领取。
• 家长可以在周六9:30-11点去学校大厅后勤团付款（现金或支票，支票抬头写Janet Wang)，并建立后勤帐号。

CCS校服：

• 校服预订开始啦! 每件$16.
• 请在9月30日之前到学校大厅预定。
• 十月中旬请到学校大厅领取预定的校服。

Dear CCS Families,
Welcome to Cary Chinese School! I hope you all had a wonderful summer! The first day of school for CCS is Saturday, September 8th, 2018. See below for important information about first day of school at Cary Chinese School.
Registration:

• Registration link: http://carycs.org/register
• While the online registration function is disabled, parents can continue using online registration system (http://carycs.org) to check classes registration status. If you have not paid, please print out the registration summary and mail in check or submit payment on the first day of school at the lobby.
• On-site registration is available at school lobby on the first and second Saturdays of school. We only accept checks.
• If you need to add, exchange or cancel class registration, please email [email protected], or consult staff at registration desk during school session.
• Refer to School Policy about tuition refunds (http://carycs.org/school-policy).
• Between fourth week and sixth week of school, school treasurer will process tuition refunds according to school policy.
• Your class teacher will also send email to you before school starts.

Classrooms:

• Before the first day of school, please check online registration system for classroom and teacher assignment for your child. It's possible that we will still make some classroom adjustment. Please check for any up to day information on the day before the class starts.

First day of School:

• First day of school is Saturday, September 8, 2018.
• Chinese language class starts at 9am.
• Please come in 10-15 minutes earlier to find your classroom.
• Parents should bring checkbooks (NO cash allowed) to purchase textbooks.
• Some activity classes may need additional materials, please refer to teachers email or announcement on first day of class.

Traffic Safety! New Traffic Route:

• Each Saturday students should be in classroom on time by 9am.
• The most congested time in the parking lot is between 8:50 to 9:00 am. If all possible, please get to the school 10-15 minutes earlier to avoid congestion.
• Please pay attention to traffic signs on the roadside and in the parking lot, and proceed slowly once you are on campus.
• Safety volunteers will start directing traffic at 8:30am. All cars and pedestrians must follow directions! Safety first!
• Please note that there is a new traffic route this year, please refer to the school website: http://carycs.org/direction

Building Safety:

• Due to safety concerns, we will not allow anyone outside of CCS to enter the building. All parents remaining in the building after class starts must sign in at the lobby. Please do not allow any guests into the building without signing in.
• School staff and volunteers on duty will check the hallways for compliance, your cooperation is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Parents Duty! New Duty Assignment:

• This year's parental duty is still based on the class, and each class parent only needs to participate in the duty once per student.

• Each duty task consists of two parts: early traffic and corridor patrol, 8:30 – 10:10.
• PTA will record the status of each the parental duty every week. At the end of the semester (06/2019), a fee of $50 will be charged for parents who are still not on duty. The fee will be used to provide PTA funding for parent duty activities.

Fruits and Lunch Ordering:

• This year the Community Services staff will continue providing service to CCS families with pre-ordered fruits and lunch boxes.
• Please join CCS Community Services WeChat group for order information.
• The fruits and lunch boxes must be ordered during the week, and picked up promptly at 11:30am in the parking lot on Saturdays.
• Participants can establish a CCS service account and make payment at school lobby between 9:30 and 11:00 am (Cash or check payable to Janet Wang).

CCS T-Shirts:

• We are taking orders for school T-Shirts! $16 each.
• Please place order at the lobby before September 30th.
• You can pick up pre-ordered T-shirts in mid October.

Summary:
I wish our students to have happy and healthy growth in the new school year, and continue learning Chinese language, loving Chinese culture, advancing in all aspects! Wish our parents to continue encouraging student learning, coordinate with school work, attending school activities, building a better community together. Our operation relies heavily on our teachers and many parent volunteers. I welcome more parents to get involved in teaching and volunteering! Feedback and suggestions are always welcome!
