小提琴课 Description简介 This course is designed for beginner violinists with little or no prior experience. Students will start from the basics (how to hold a violin and fingerings) and progress to learn songs for a performance at the end of the semester. Aside from violin skills, students will also develop soft skills like their confidence and teamwork skills. Pre Condition 要求 6 Years and up 6岁以上 Student Material Requirement 学生用品 Violin 自带小提琴 Curriculum 课程安排 We start from learning how to hold a violin and progress to learning songs like “Hot Cross Buns”, “Mary Had a Little Lamb”, Jingle Bells, etc. in the first semester. Then during the second semester, we learn to play duets, become exposed to different genres of music, and study a little bit of music reading. Teacher 老师 Angela & Anna Chen Language in Class 课堂使用语言 English Teacher Introduction 老师简介 Anna: Hello! I’m Anna Chen, an uprising senior and class of NCSSM 2020. I starting learning violin as a kid and am so happy to be apart of their learning experience! Angela: I grew up in a small town in Wilson but recently moved to Durham in the past year. I currently attend UNC Chapel Hill and am a rising sophomore. I have been playing violin for over 10 years. More about violins: Students should bring a violin to the class. You can either rent or purchase one from a local or online music store. A typical beginner violin cost around $100. Renting is a good idea if you are just starting out. The size of the violin depends on your arm length. |
