Why do we raise money for the school? Cary Chinese School is a non-profit organization. Tuition alone cannot cover the entire operating cost including the facility rental and teacher salaries. Many of our administrative staff are volunteers and we strive to keep the operating cost low and spend where it matters most to our program, teachers, students, and families. CCS PTA organizes fund raising events so that we can continue to fund materials and school activities such as:
Chinese New Year’s Gala
School suppliers like printer toners, cartridges, and paper
Gifts for teachers
Contest award prizes for students
Summer camping, Halloween Parade, and many other activities
Here are the fundraising events: 1. Volunteer Time Corporate Matching Grants Many companies (such as Cisco, Lenovo, SAS) will donate money to our school when an employee volunteers a number of hours at the school. If you can't find Cary Chinese School as a recognized charity in your organization's charity portal (such as Benevity, Bright Funds), contact CCS principal for more information to list CCS as a charity. 2. Sponsorship Sponsors are needed throughout the school year. We take donations, and can also provide paid marketing opportunities such as seminar at the school, advertisement on school website and CCS Guide printed book, etc. We encourage our CCS families to patronize and support our sponsors. 3. Special Fundraising Events Special fundraising events are scheduled around holidays such as Chinese Lantern Festival or Lunar Festival.
