Global Seal of Biliteracy
全球双语认证
We are proud to announce our partnership with the Global Seal for the celebration and certification of our bilingual candidates. Anyone eligible for certification can apply through CCS. There are two certification levels to consider: the Silver Seal (Functional Fluency Award) and the Gold Seal (Working Fluency Award). When applying for either certification, please ensure that you submit the required verification documents. For details regarding the first/native language test and requirements, as well as the second language test and requirements, please refer to the attached tables.
Table 1: Approved Tests & Assessment for the First/Native Language
Table 2: Approved Tests & Assessments for the Second Language.
Please check the FAQs at: FAQ's — Global Seal of Biliteracy (theglobalseal.com)
Important:
All Global Seal of Biliteracy candidates must meet both First and Second Language requirements in order to receive a Global Seal of Biliteracy. Qualifying second language test scores must be submitted within 12 months of the test date and proctored by an impartial human. There is no time limitation on the first language tests.
If functional fluency is achieved in the second language at the 8th-grade level or above, or if an approved test/assessment score for the level of the first language (See table 1) matches the second language, then the Functional Fluency Award (Silver seal) will be granted.
If working fluency in the second language is achieved by the 11th grade or above, or if an approved test/assessment (See table 1) score for the level of the first language matches the second language, then the Working Fluency Award (Gold seal) will be granted.
We recommend that all 11th-grade students who have passed the AP exam with a score of 5 apply for the Working Fluency Award at no cost.
