Scholarship Information:
The CCS Star Scholarship was established by the Board of Trustees of Cary Chinese School to award students who have demonstrated commitment and passion for Chinese language study and Chinese culture. This scholarship was established to assist a talented and versatile student with one-year tuition at Cary Chinese School. Preference may be given to a student who has shown an outstanding record in his/her Chinese study, leadership among fellow students, and contribution to Cary Chinese School and community.

Applicants must meet all following criteria to apply:

Preference may be given to a student who has shown an outstanding record in his/her Chinese study, leadership among fellow students, and contribution to Cary Chinese School and community.
Eligibility:
Applicants must meet all following criteria to apply:
- Is a full-time student at a local high school, Grades 9 through 12.
- Is enrolled in Cary Chinese School's CHL or CSL program (2023~2024 school year).
- Has studied Chinese for at least 4 years.
- Has studied Chinese at Cary Chinese School for at least 2 years, with average score at or above 90.
- Has passed Chinese proficiency test HSK Level IV or above. If you have not taken HSK test, contact your CCS teacher for a free equivalent test instead.
- Has not been previously awarded this scholarship.
- Awards will depend on the number of eligible applicants, cost of tuition, available funding and any other special circumstances.
- Each award is equivalent to one year tuition of Chinese Language class at Cary Chinese School.
- The total award amount will be determined at the discretion of the Board of Trustees.
- Awards are non-renewable.
- Clearly fill out all fields in the application form.
- Include an application essay in Chinese as supporting documents. The essay should demonstrated student's merit, such as commitment and passion for Chinese language study and Chinese culture, leadership among fellow students, and contribution to Cary Chinese School and community.
- Submit the completed form with documents to your CCS teacher.
- Ask your CCS teacher to write recommendation on a separate sheet then hand over application documents to the CCS Principal.
