大家好，希望你们都度过了一个愉快的暑假！我是凯瑞中文学校新任校长贺春慧，欢迎新来的同学们加入凯瑞中文学校，也欢迎在校学生们返回中文学校继续学习，很高兴也很荣幸能为大家服务。新学年即将在即紧张又期待的氛围中开始了，为了让大家都能选择最适合的上课方式，学校开办了实体课和线上课程。经过大家的慎重选择，目前已经确定了实体课和网课的班级和人数。由于疫情仍然严峻，学校将迎来较大的挑战，为了保证实体课的顺利进行，我们将严格按照wake county对于校园内的防疫和隔离的要求，保证全体师生及教职员工的健康安全，请在这里查看wake county学校针对covid疫情的详细的规则。防疫人人有责，也请大家积极配合和支持，来学校上课即默认接受学校的防疫措施，遵守理解和支持学校的相关规定，给老师和孩子们创造一个安全，健康的学习环境。中文学校是大家的学校，再次感谢大家的支持和理解！
开学第一天是9月11日星期六。上午9点准时开始中文课。点击：http://carycs.org/calendar查看学校校历。下面为大家发布学校的几个重要信息，学校老师也会在开学前将相关信息发给家长，请注意查看邮件。

注册课程

有关注册详情请参考学校网站：http://carycs.org/register。
家长可以通过网上系统继续注册，新生注册2021秋季新生。活动课选择对应按键进入注册页面。注册后确定课程金额通过这里完成付款。
9月4日之后付款加收$25注册费；9月11日之后付款再加收$25 late fee。
注册系统9月25日关闭，任何换课和退课请联系课程教务长处理。
相关退课退款规定，请参考网站上的School Policy（http://carycs.org/school-policy）。
开学第4-6周，财务会根据学校规定安排退款。

学校针对卫生、交通、室内安全所做的调整和措施部署如下：
卫生举措:

非必要情况下教学楼不允许家长进入及逗留。
校内人员包括老师学生一律要求佩戴口罩。
在校教师和员工要求完成疫苗接种，建议12岁以上实体课学生接种疫苗。
校内禁止进食，勤洗手，保持社交距离。
学生自带水杯喝水，学校饮水点饮水将暂停使用。
有任何不舒服的症状，或者Covid密接者请自觉遵守隔离规定留在家里，避免和他人接触，具体请参考wake public school 相关页面。
有确诊病例凯瑞中文学校有知情权，以便通知密切接触者进行检查和必要的隔离，隔离期间学生可以选择上平行班网课。返校要求同wake 公立学校相同。

交通安全举措:

为了避免上学放学期间楼前人员的聚集和拥堵，学校采取以下举措：
鉴于以往经验，早高峰（8：35-8：50am）期间8:50-9:00为学校交通最拥堵的时段，强烈呼吁大家早点出门，carpool 8点半开始，请大家最少提前10分钟送孩子到学校。校外马路入口处，建议大家不要左拐入校，往前有三处可以u-turn换成右拐入校。有关交通路线和规定请参考学校网站: http://carycs.org/direction。
学校将实行以dropoff为主的交通形式，停车场和路边都会有指示牌，请注意并慢行。
如果时间来不及在carpool放下学生需要在停车场停车，请一定等9：05am后再离开停车场，以免影响carpool的有序流动。
较小年龄的学生 (prek/K) 由家长从离教室最近的正门左侧侧门送到上课教室（carpool 路线最前端），有值班人员门前等候。
放学期间学生有序离开教学楼，家长在停车场或者car pool lane 等待学生上车。小班学生家长到正门左边侧门接下课学生。
请勿拥堵交通路线，违规停车！
虽然本学年在校学生数量比往年少，但是为了保证早交通的顺畅，本学年CCS仍然实行家长轮值。疫情期间一切从简，第一周欢迎有经验的热心家长参与，现场出示疫苗证明照片室外执勤。后期家长轮值视第一，第二周情况而定。一，二周参与值班的家长将在账号内记录，后期不再安排执勤。

室内安全举措:

课间禁止学生聚集，保持社交距离。
固定座位，老师上课前拍照记录。
学校进门处配备免洗洗手液，同时建议家长给学生自带小瓶装和消毒纸巾以备不时之需。
课程结束后老师用消毒纸巾对桌椅消毒，为下面的课程交接做准备。
开学前各班老师会发送学生卡模板，请开学前查看学生账号确定教室，由家长填写学生卡（包括语言课教室，活动课教室，联系电话）打印后第一天带到教室，PTA准备了装卡片的袋子放到学生书包上，方便学生查看/学校老师护送至下个教室。

开学第一天的准备:

开学前请到学校网上注册系统里查看学生的班级分配。根据注册情况，教室分配在开学前几天里有适当调整，请务必在开学前一天再次上网查看确认，并给学生准备好带有教室号码的卡片，方便学校人员及时找到对应教室，有活动课的年龄较小的学生，学校会安排人员帮助学生完成教室的转换。
请家长们至少提前10分钟带学生到学校，按照交通部设计的路线放下学生，具体交通路线安排如下http://carycs.org/direction

Dear CCS Families,

Hope you all had a great summer vacation! I am Chunhui He, the new principal of Cary Chinese School. I welcome the new students to join in Cary Chinese School and welcome current students to return to the Chinese school to continue their studies. I am very happy and honored to serve you all!

The new school year is about to begin in an atmosphere of tension and expectation. To allow everyone to choose the most suitable way of instructional style, the school has opened physical and online courses. After careful selection by everyone, the numbers of physical and online classes have been determined. As the pandemic is still severe, the school will face greater challenges. Therefore, to ensure the smooth progress of physical classes, we will strictly follow the criteria of wake county public school of precaution and quarantine to protect the health and safety of all teachers, students, and staff.

Please Check here for the detailed rules of wake county schools against the COVID-19 pandemic. Please also actively cooperate and support Cary Chinese School. When you come to school, you will accept the school's Covid prevention measures by default, thank you for your understanding and support of the relevant regulations of the school, and create a safe and healthy learning environment for teachers, staff and all the students.

Registration:

Parents can continue to register through the online system, and new students can register for fall 2021 freshmen. Select the corresponding button for the activity class to enter the registration page. Off-site button direct to the off-site activity classes. After registration, confirm the course amount and complete the payment through here.
Please register and pay online before the class. On-site registration may be limited.

Online Registration will be closed after September 25th. Please complete any adjustment of registration before that date. Refer to School Policy about tuition refunds (http://carycs.org/school-policy).
Between fourth week and sixth week of school, school treasurer will process tuition refunds according to school policy.
Before the first day of school, please check online registration system for classroom and teacher assignment for your child.
Your class teacher will also send email to you before school starts.

Hygiene and traffic safety measures
The school's adjustments and measures for sanitation, transportation, and indoor safety are as follows:
Sanitation measures:

Parents are not allowed to enter and stay in the building unless necessary.
All school personnel, including teachers and students, are required to wear masks
Teachers and staff in school are required to complete vaccination. It is recommended that students over 12 years of age in physical classes receive vaccination.
Eating is prohibited in the school, washing hands frequently, and keeping social distancing.
Students bring their own water bottle, and school water fountains will be suspended.
If you have any uncomfortable symptoms or Covid close contacts, please consciously abide by the quarantine regulations to stay at home and avoid contact with others. For details, please refer to the relevant pages of wake public school.
If there are confirmed Covid positive, Cary Chinese School has the right to know, to notify close contacts for inspection and necessary quarantine. During the quarantine period, students can choose to take online classes. The requirements for returning to school are the same as those for wake public schools.

Traffic safety measures:
In order to avoid the gathering and congestion of people in front of the building during school and after school, the learning takes the following measures:

In view of experience, 8:50-9:00 during the morning rush hour (8:35-8:50am) is the most congested time for school traffic. We strongly urge everyone to go out early. Carpool starts at 8:30 am, please arrive at least 10 minutes in advance. At the entrance of the road outside the school, it is recommended that you do not turn left to enter the school. There are three places where you can change the u-turn to the right to enter the school. For traffic routes and regulations, please refer to the school website: http://carycs.org/direction,
The school will implement drop-off-based transportation, and there will be signs in the parking lot and on the roadside. Please pay attention and go slowly
If time is too late to drop off the students in the carpool line and you may need to park in the parking lot, please wait until 9:05am before leaving the parking lot, so as not to affect the orderly flow of the carpool
Prek/K students are sent to the classroom (the front end of the carpool route) by their parents from the left side door of the building closest to the classroom (including CSL students in the afternoon) and there are staff on duty waiting in front of the door.
Students leave the school building in an orderly manner during school hours. Parents wait for students to board the car in the parking lot or carpool line. Parents of prek/k kids go to the side door to pick up students waiting in the hallway.
Do not block traffic routes and park illegally!

Indoor safety measures:

Students are forbidden to gather between classes and should keep social distancing.
The students will be assigned the seat one the first school day, then keep the seat for the rest of the semester. The classroom teacher takes pictures and record before the class.
The entrance to the school is equipped with hand sanitizer, and parents are advised to bring small hand sanitizer bottles and sterile wipes to students for emergency needs.
After the class is over, the teacher disinfects the desks and chairs with disinfection wipes to prepare for the handover of the following classes.
To help with smooth transition between classes, the teachers of each class will send a student card template before the beginning of the semester. Please check the student account to confirm the classroom before the beginning of the class. Parents please fill out and print out the student card (including family ID, name, language class classroom, activity class classroom, contact phone number) and bring it to the classroom on the first day of school, PTA Prepare the ID holder for each student and put it on the student's schoolbag, so that the students can check their classroom on their own or the school staff will escort it to the next classroom.

Preparation for the first day of school
Please check the student's class assignment in the school's online registration system before the start of the semester. According to the registration situation, the allocation of classrooms has been adjusted appropriately in the days before the beginning of school. Please be sure to check the website again one day before the beginning of school and prepare student’s ID card with classroom numbers for students, so that school personnel can find the corresponding classrooms in time, and there are active classes. Parents are requested to bring students to the school at least 10 minutes in advance, and drop off the students according to the route designed by the Ministry of Transportation. School will start in a week, and I look forward to seeing you all soon！I wish our students to have happy and healthy growth in the new school year, and continue learning Chinese language, loving Chinese culture, advancing in all aspects! Wish our parents to continue encouraging student learning, coordinate with school work, attending school activities, building a better community together.
