           北卡三角地区中文讲故事比赛开始报名啦！来自本地四所周末中文学校的学生将参加​五月五日下午举办的决赛，现场用中文讲故事，限时2-4分钟。故事内容限为以下几种：中国历史文化故事、家庭故事、优良事迹、环保故事。比赛分为四组，由各所中文学校初赛胜出的每组两位学生，组成十人一组比赛。各组第一名获金牌，奖励$60购物卡。各组第二名获银牌，奖励$40购物卡。各组第三名获铜牌，奖励$20购物卡。
比赛分组如下（以学生在全日制学校的年级为准）：

• A组：小学一到三年级（CHL）
• B组：小学四到五年级（CHL）
• C组：初中六到八年级（CHL）
• D组：高中九到十二年级（CHL）
• E组：中文为非母语学生，一到十二年级（CSL）

​Registration for the Chinese Storytelling Competition in the North Carolina Triangle Region has begun! Students from the local four weekend Chinese schools will participate in the finals on the afternoon of May 5th, telling stories in Chinese (2-4 minutes), competing for medals and prizes. Story genres that may be used are historical Chinese tales and culture, family story, good behavior, and environment protection and recycling. The competition is divided into four groups. Each group of two students who have won each Chinese school preliminary competition will form a group of ten players. The first place in each group wins the gold medal with $60 gift card award. The second place in each group wins the silver medal with $40 gift card award. The third place in each group wins the bronze medal with $20 gift card award.
Contest Groups (Based on student's public school grades):

• Group A: Elementary School Grades 1 to 3 (CHL)
• Group B: Elementary School Grades 4 to 5 (CHL)
• Group C: Middle School Grades 6 to 8 (CHL)
• Group D: High School Grades 9 to 12 (CHL)
• Group E: Non-Native Chinese Speakers, grades 1-12 (CSL)

 如何报名？报名截止：4月26日

1. 家长录下学生讲故事的音频，限时2-4分钟，故事内容限为以下几种：中国历史文化故事、家庭故事、优良事迹、环保故事。
2. 家长发 Email 给 [email protected] 报名参赛，邮件 Subject 注明“学生姓名-参赛组”（比如："RebertYang-A"），邮件内容包括：中文班级和家长电话，并附上音频文件。
3. 学校工作人员经过评比后，发邮件通知家长。

How to Participate? Deadline to participate: April 26th, 2019

1. Parents record the audio of the student's storytelling. The time limit is 2-4 minutes. The content of the story is limited to the following: Chinese historical and cultural stories, family stories, good deeds, and environment protection and recycling stories.
2. Send an email to [email protected] to register for the contest with "fullname-group" as the subject line (For example: "RobertYang-A”), including in the email body: Chinese class and parent phone number, attaching the audio file.
3. After evaluation, school staff will send an email to notify the parents.​
