Chinese as a second language program of Cary Chinese School offers a comprehensive curriculum with most number of students enrolled each year, and especially a special class, Chinese language classes for adults, is unique among Chinese schools in Triangle area.

Adult students in class whether for business, travel or accompany their children to learn Chinese, are showing great interest in learning Chinese. The scene of President Trump’ grandson reciting Chinese poetry sure also inspired many people who love Chinese cultures, as well as the Chinese teachers who are disseminating Chinese culture.
Learning Chinese as a second language for adults has been a difficult problem to solve. Conflicts of working, family and other duties with taking Chinese lesson are always unpredictable. Learning or doing homework is also be interrupted occasionally, which makes it difficult to guarantee the learning quality.
Today, CSL will start a new exploration, to be the first to create a precedent by cooperating with Yiyahanyu, making learning Chinese not a difficulty for adult students. Chinese flipped(Inverted) classroom is about to enter into the CSL adult class at Cary Chinese school. Time, schedule and classroom is no longer a barrier to adult learning Chinese. Yiyahanyu textbook system refers to comprehensive resources such as USA ACTFL, European languages frameworks as well as Office of Chinese language council international (Hanban) HSK outline, designed a total of 19 levels from beginner to senior level including practical Chinese and business Chinese. Each level consists 5-6 units, each class has 4 lessons. Students study independently using yiyahanyu App and arrange their own learning progress anytime, anywhere, making learning Chinese easily and efficiently. The interactive activities after each lesson cover all aspects of linguistic proficiencies such as listening, speaking, reading and character typing, grammar video lecture, followed by communicative tasks supported by speech recognition and assessment technology. Teachers through the network can also keep abreast of students’ progress, well target each student’s feature to answer specific questions, solve the problems, and guide the students to break through the bottleneck during students’ learning. Yiyahanyu App of smart Chinese language involves multiple activities of everyday life, work, travel and other business with high-quality videos of practical, real life scenes to let students understand and experience the current China.
Cary Chinese School will be the pioneer to apply smart Chinese language into teaching. Enrollment of Yiyahanyu Chinese training course will be open soon in summer. The cooperation with Yiyahanyu will start a new era of teaching/learning Chinese in the area.

CSL有一个特殊的班级——成人汉语学习班。随着经济全 球化，越来越多的人感受到了中文的魅力和学习中文带来的 方便。成人班的学生里不论是为了商务旅游还是陪着孩子一 起来学习中文，都展示了学习中文的极大兴趣。然而学习中 文对于成人来说一直有一个难以解决的问题：工作家庭和学 习的冲突。学习和作业经常会被难以预料的琐事打断而无法 持续进行，学习效果也很难保证。
作为我校CSL教学的大胆探索之举，一呀汉语智慧中文反 转课堂将进入CSL成人班的课堂。时间、教室不再成为成人 学习汉语的障碍。一呀汉语智慧中文课程综合参考美国 ACTFL，欧洲语言框架和汉办HSK大纲等，设计里从零基础到 超高级共19个级别，包括实用汉语和商务汉语。每个级别分 5至6个单元，每个单元4课。学生通过APP自主学习自主安排 进度，手机上随时随地轻松高效学习中文。每个视频教学后 都有相应的听说读写练习，语法视频讲座，还可以人机互 动，检查发音语调和人机对话。教师通过网络同样可以随时 了解学生学习进度，有针对性的回答学生的问题，解决学生 学习中的困难和瓶颈。一呀汉语智慧中文涉及日常生活、工 作、旅游、商务等60多个主题，300多个场景，高质量的实 用真实的场景教学视频让学生身临其境地了解现在的中国。
