凯瑞中文之星大赛

我们每年举办四项CCS凯瑞中文之星大赛。举办这些比赛的目的是鼓励学生书写汉字、练习中文口语，并用笔创作出最美的画作。
Each year there are 4 different CCS Star Contests. The purpose of organizing those competitions is to encourage students to write Chinese characters, exercise their Chinese speaking abilities, and draw the most beautiful paintings with brushes.

Chinese Essay Contest （作文比赛，for both CHL and CSL students)
题目和要求：

提交方式：电脑打字，作品发送给各自中文班的老师。提交文件名：年龄组/班级/中英文姓名
例如：少儿组/马立平六年级/ABC 韩梅梅

一、《我心爱的宝贝》
- 你心爱的宝贝是什么？是小闹钟、文具盒、书籍，还是小猫、小狗、小金鱼或者什么玩具等等。
- 选一个“宝贝”来写，要写清楚宝贝的特点（外形，颜色，特色等），表达你喜爱的心情。
- 字数300字以上。
- 审题：认真读题目，明确写作的重点是什么（写人、写事、写景等）。
- 构思：围绕题目，回忆相关的人、事、景，选择最能打动你的部分进行写作。
- 细节：用具体的细节来支撑你的观点，让文章生动有趣，例如描写公园的特点、事件的经过、景色的细节等。
- 情感：在文章中融入你真实的感情，例如对景色的喜爱，对景物的观察，描述等，借景抒情。
- 字数400字以上。
- 儿童组（8-10岁）300字；
- 少儿组（11-13岁）400字；
- 少年组（14-16岁）600字。
提交方式：电脑打字，作品发送给各自中文班的老师。提交文件名：年龄组/班级/中英文姓名

Drawing Contest （绘画比赛, for all CHL, CSL, and ACT students）
Contents: Any features related to celebrating the 20th anniversary of CCS, Chinese New Year or Chinese culture.
Submission: PLEASE submit your artwork to school lobby PTA staff (preferred) or send digital copy to [email protected].

Requirements:
- Only 1 piece of work will be accepted.
- Paper size: no larger than 11" x 14".
- Please write your FULL Chinese/English names, age, student ID and your teacher's name at the back of your painting before turning it into your teacher.
- The drawings previously attended to other contests will not be accepted, i.e., must be newly created.
- For digital copy, please SCAN your work and attached in your email with the subject line as: full name/ age/ teacher name ( Alice Yang / age 5 / student ID: 5****** / drawing 李老师). If you are not in ACT class in CCS, you also can write down your Chinese class teacher’s name as reference.
- Online class students attention: the subject template is full name / age / student ID / ONLINE class (Alice Yang / age 5 / student ID: 5****** / Online Class).
- For the participants who could not scan the work, the cell phone photo is also acceptable. Please send the original copy to us.
Chinese Speaking Contest（说中文比赛, for both CHL & CSL students）
Choose any literary forms of Chinese language, for example: a poem (诗词), paragraph of an article (文章), rakugo (单口相声), allegro (快板), tongue twister (绕口令)，jingle (顺口溜)，story (讲故事), etc., and record it in digital format.
Requirements:

Requirements:
- Please save your audio file using one of the following formats: MP3, WAV, WMA, M4A. And name your file in a certain naming convention: fullname-gradelevelatCCS. An example of your audio file name is RobertYang-CHL5.mp3.
- The maximum length of your audio is 60 seconds.
- Please submit your audio file to: [email protected] with fullname-gradelevelatCCS as the subject line (For example RobertYang-CHL5).
- Any anonymous audio is invalid and will be discarded.
I. Record and save your audio on Windows:
- Make sure you have an audio input device, such as a microphone, connected to your computer.
- Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, and then click Sound Recorder.
- Click Start Recording.
- Please limit your recording to 60 seconds. To stop recording audio, click Stop Recording.
- In the Save As dialog box, click the File name box, type a file name for the recorded sound, and then click Save to save the recorded sound as an audio file. By default, the recorded audio is saved as a Windows Media Audio (WMA) file.
- You've finished recording, congratulations! Please submit your audio file to [email protected]
- Find the Voice Memo and talk. Please limit your recording to 60 seconds.
- After recording, click the ">" sign next to the voice file, choose Share, then choose Email to submit the audio to [email protected]
Chinese Character Contest (写字比赛, for both CHL&CSL students)
Contents: You must use the templates provided by PTA. These templates will be distributed into your class or you can download them from below.
Requirements:
All the works with no name/name at wrong place/wrong size are disqualified and will be discarded.

- Please write your CCS Registration ID at the front of your work.
- Please write your FULL Chinese/English names, your teacher's name/class at the back of your work.
