CCS 2023 Summer Camping:
- Activities start after 5:00 pm on Saturday. All are welcome and free: facing painting, rope skipping, S'more and outdoor movies.
- Ticket is required per person for Saturday night dinner (up to 100 families) and overnight camping (up to 105 people).
- Dinner (6:30 pm-8:00 pm): Fried rice, code noodles, hamburger, hot dog, roasted sweet potato and corns, salad, watermelon, drinks, etc.
- Volunteers needed, sign up <TBD here>.
- Dinner: $12/ticket.
- Overnight Camping: Free for CCS families. Reservation is required. Food/dinner is not included.
- Parker's Creek Group Campsites - Jordan Lake State Recreation Area is located in Chatham County, 21 miles southwest of Raleigh off US 64, and can be reached via NC 751 or US 15-501 from Durham and Chapel Hill.
- The entrance to Parker's Creek is on US 64.
- If you are traveling west on US 64, go over the bridge on Jordan Lake. The entrance is on the right.
- State Park charges at the gate $6.00 per car for day guests; No charge for campers.
- Park gates will lock at 10pm and unlock at 8am. No entry/exit after hours. No entry or exit is permitted after closing except for law enforcement or medical emergencies.
- Campground quiet hours (10pm-7am) are enforced.
- Fires in undesignated areas are prohibited. No collecting of dead wood lying on the ground. Do not cut live trees or limbs from trees.
- Alcoholic beverages, firearms (including fireworks) and other weapons are prohibited.
- Pets are allowed except in park buildings and swim areas, but they must be on a leash no longer than six feet and cannot be left unattended.
- Unlicensed vehicles, motorcycles, golf carts, ATV's and mini-bikes are prohibited with the exception of mobility-aid devices used by a mobility-impaired person. All vehicles are prohibited from walkways, trails and other areas not designated for such purposes.
- When fishing a North Carolina resident or non-resident fishing license is required.
- No lifeguards on duty - swim at your own risk.
- North Carolina State Park rules and regulations are posted in each park and enforced by rangers. Violating these rules and regulations is a misdemeanor and may result in a fine and revocation of permit. Refer to Basic Rules and Regulations available on website or contact park with any questions.
- State vehicle and traffic laws are enforced, and the park speed limit is 25 mph unless otherwise posted. Watch for pedestrians, bicyclists and wildlife.
- North Carolina State Parks are wildlife sanctuaries; no hunting is allowed and collecting plants, minerals and artifacts is prohibited. State fishing regulations are enforced.
