To ensure a safe and orderly learning environment, CCS has instituted the On-Site Parent program. At the beginning of each semester, parent volunteers sign up for time slots that best suit their individual schedules, or, with their permission, CCS assigns participating parents to unfilled slots as the semester progresses.
On-site parent responsibilities include:
Wear the designated yellow vest at all times while on duty.
Help maintain an orderly school environment: remind all parents (other than room parents) to refrain from loitering in classrooms, stop excessive noisemaking, chasing in the hallway, and other rowdy behaviors, escort younger-age students to the lavatory.
Maintain order in the parking lot. Assist non-faculty and non-staff parents in properly following CCS’s parking rules. Post written reminders on the windshields of vehicles in violation of CCS parking rules.
During recess, work with room parents to maintain order in the classrooms and in the hallways. Disorderly conducts such as chasing in the hallways and tossing objects should be stopped immediately.
Ring the CCS school bell to announce the beginning and end of classes, recess, etc.
Maintain the cleanliness of all school areas used by CCS.
