Description 简介 This class will focus on getting students to understand basic grammar and vocab that will help strengthen their writing abilities. For grades 3-5, we will focus more on the fundamentals including grammar rules and some basic reading comprehension that will improve their syntax in writing. There will often be lessons where we learn new writing skills followed by exercises and practice to apply these concepts. For grades 5-7, we will again touch on these same grammar rules but also vocabulary exercises and full writing prompts to practice. Homework will often consist of finishing an essay or writing prompt that we start in class but will not have time to finish. Students are expected to finish the writing exercises at home and then bring to class for peer-editing and feedback from me. By the end of the year, students will have a greater understanding of proper grammar and polished writing skills.
