Public Speaking and Leadership 2506-B Week 3

On Saturday September 21st the students went over and demonstrated how to introduce a speaker, this gave this students an opportunity to work in partnership with classmates, and the importance of the role as they prepare the audience for the speaker. 

This year our class is providing incentives for student participation and classroom expectations. The students were given 500.00 to start growing their personal bank for prizes at the end of the year. The students provided ideas on how they can obtain and lose money.

We also talked about Gavel Club Roles for this semester, and students were advised if they want to participate to give a 1 -2 minute speech, as to why they should be chosen for the officer role.
The roles are President, VP of Education, Membership, Public Relations, Secretary, Treasurer, and Sergeant of Arms. The speech will be given on October 5th.

The rough draft for their speech is also due on October 5th.
There is no class this weekend, September 28th.  I look forward to seeing everyone October 5th.
